h01 Florence May Poulton (née Goodman) [A;gA;2gA] was born on 25 December 1921 (1922 1st quarter, Southwark, folio 1d page 167). She was married to h02 Kenneth Charles Poulton [U;gU;2gU] on 19 July 1941 (1941 3rd quarter, Croydon, folio 2a page 2189). She has two daughters and 1 son and 1 adopted daughter. She died on 14/07/2014 in South Africa aged 93.
During the 2nd. World War, she and her sister-in-law, Vera Horder had a lucky escape, when German bombers attacked buildings near Croyden airport. Many factories in that area were demolished, and many workers were killed. Most of the factory staff at Boisnois and Br.N.S.F. and also Redwing were buried under the rubble and died there during August 1939/1940 (?) Florence and another sister-in-law, Doris Horder, spent many happy years together during the war. Vera and Doris were always her best friends.
