f029 Nathaniel Robins [4gF;5gF;6gF] was married to f030 Elizabeth Robins. He was born in 1809 in Bere Alston in Devon, and died in 1897 (1897 quarter 3, Plymouth, folio 5b page 166). He had 1 daughter, Louisa. In the 1841 census, he was described as a lead miner and lived in Pepper Street. In the 1851 census (age 41) he was an innkeeper in Fore Street, Bere Alston. His name was written as 'Nathniel'.
In the 1861 census, he was described as a lead miner and lived in Pepper Street, Bere Ferrers, the third house from the shop. (note there was a Roberts family living at the shop??) (Bere Alston is actually in the parish of Bere Ferrers. So Pepper Street was classed as being in Bere Ferrers, although it was actually in Bere Alston. Also it is now called Cornwall Street)
In the 1871 census, he was in the same house, but where was his family? He was described as a miner.
In the 1881 census, he was in the same house and aged 72 he was described as a copper miner. His daughter Louisa was not there but his granddaughter (Fanny) was back with her two sons (greatgrandsons to Nathaniel).
In the 1891 census, he is now 82 years old and living with his daughter Louisa at 4 Victoria Street, Plymouth.
f030 Elizabeth Robins [4gM;5gM;6gM] was married to f029 Nathaniel Robins. She was born in 1805 in Bere Ferrers in Devon. She had 1 daughter, Louisa. She is mentioned in the 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881 censuses. She must have died in 1888 (1888 4th quarter, Tavistock, folio 5b page 244).

In the 1861 census, Louisa is described as a miner's wife. I think he died in 1881 (1881 quarter 3, Stoke D, folio 5b page 173). He had 2 daughters, Louisa and Fanny.

f026 Thomas Baldwin [3gF;4gF;5gF] was born in Wrotham near Maidstone, in about 1800. He was married to f196 Jane. He was called Tommy. The following story, although attributed to Thomas, is probably refering to his son James. He was in the Royal Horse Artillery during the Crimean War, (1853-1856), {Impossible because of Thomas's or James' ages}. The family story is that when he was 21 years old, his hair went completely white, when a cannon went off beside him. We think he was married on 31 October 1850 ?. {Again impossible. James was married in 1870}. In 1851 he was living at Borough Green, Wrotham, Kent. He was an agricultural labourer. We think he died either 1855 (quarter 4, Malling, folio 2a page 205) or 1856 (quarter 3, Malling, folio 2a page 222). He had 6 children f197 John Baldwin [2gU;3gU;4gU] born in 1841 (1844 quarter 1, Malling, folio 5 page 374) in Wrotham, Kent, f055 James Richard Baldwin [2gU;3gU;4gU] born in Wrotham in 1846, f304 Sarah Baldwin [2gA;3gA;4gA] born in Wrotham in 1847 (1847 quarter 3, Malling, folio 5 page 337), f198 William Baldwin [2gU;3gU;4gU] born in Wrotham in 1850 (1844 quarter 3, Malling, folio 5 page 324), f306 Stephen Baldwin [2gU;3gU;4gU] born in Wrotham in 1852 (1852 quarter 3, Malling, folio 2a page 301), and f307 Ellen Baldwin [2gA;3gA;4gA] born in Wrotham in 1854 (1854 quarter 2, Malling, folio 2a page 335).
