In 1841 Phoebe, a silk piecer was living on Cotton Street, Prestbury. In 1851 the family was living at Tunnicliffe Street, Macclesfield. In 1861 they were living at 12 Wardle Street, Macclesfield. George died in1866 (1866 quarter 3, Macclesfield, folio 8a page 79) aged 51. In 1871, Phoebe, with Ellen and Fred were living at 18 Wardle Street. Phoebe died in 1875 (1875 quarter 1, Macclesfield, folio 8a page 132) aged 56.
