John died 1940 (1940 quarter 1, Croydon, folio 2a page 1623) in Croydon, at 67 years of age. He married g035 Maud Mary BaconMaud Mary Bacon [gM;2gM;3gM] in 1904 (1904 quarter 4, St. Olave, folio 1d page 403). Maud was born in Walworth, Surrey, in 1881 (1881 quarter 1, St Saviour, folio 1d page 168) to Ebenezer and Sarah (née Bailey) Bacon. Maud died 1962 (1962 quarter 3, Croydon, folio 5g page 120) in Croydon, at 81 years of age. In the 1881 census she was living at 108 Hill Street, Walworth, Newington, London.
In the 1891 census and the 1901 census she was living at 72 St. marks Road, Lambeth. In 1911 they were living at 41 Marcia Road, Bermondsey. In 1939 they were living at 30 Pridham Road, Croydon, London. John was a retired painter.
At 28 years of age Maud became the mother of George John Horder in Lambeth, 1909. At 29 years of age Maud became the mother of Alfred James Horder in St Olave, 1910.
